SDGs LINKAGES
The resource is mainly concerned with social inclusion and participation. Supporting people to provide public service supports SDG 1.4 (equal access to basic services), skills for work supports SDG 4.4, and reducing barriers to education supports 4.5. Promoting universal social, economic and political inclusion supports SDG 10.2, and ensuring women and girls are treated fairly as part of volunteering supports SDG 5.1 (end all forms of discrimination against women and girls) and 5.C (policies for gender equality and inclusion of women and girls); effective policies and practices for inclusion support SDGs 10.3, 10.4 and 16.B. Supporting labour rights forms part of SDG 8.8. Providing safe and welcoming opportunities to take part in public institutions supports SDGs 4.A, 11.7 and 16.6.
