Conducting analysis to improve understanding on the interactions among SDGs and targets (synergies and trade-offs) and their implications;

Strengthening existing institutional mechanisms which can support a more coherent and integrated implementation of the SDGs;

SDGs LINKAGES

The resource is most closely linked to SDG 17.14 (policy coherence for sustainable development). Policy coherence is important for supporting a wide range of SDG targets, and the effective implementation of the overall SDG agenda to avoid trade-offs, which helps foster effective, accountable and transparent institutions (SDG 16.6) and policies for sustainable development (SDG 16.B). These are essential as a foundation of a wide range of activities in collections-based institutions.

SDG 16.B: Promote and Enforce Non-Discriminatory Laws and Policies

Proportion of population [audience/users/non-users] reporting having personally felt discriminated against or harassed in the previous 12 months on the basis of a ground of discrimination prohibited under international human rights law.
Number and proportion of policies that incorporate sustainable development considerations, in the full sense of recognizing all three of social, economic and environmental considerations.
